Foundations in Education
Learn the ways of God in teaching
This outstanding course will help you understand how to apply life-giving biblical principles in education. The school also teaches educational theory, cross-cultural training, child development and how education fits in the world of missions. You will learn about God's principles and passion for teaching. Our mission is to train educators who have vision, passion and hope for the next generation; to do the possible while expecting the extraordinary!Our goal is not just to build schools, but to build educational communities.
Course Content:- Biblical perspective of education
- Teaching and learning styles
- Child growth and development
- Jesus style teaching and the role of the Holy Spirit in the classroom
- Principles of biblical curriculum planning
- Children at risk issues
- The role of family in education
Tuition & Dates
Information regarding student fees will be sent to all applicants. The next Foundations in Education School begins on April 8, 2010, and concludes on June 30, 2010. It is part of an 18-month degree track in Early Childhood Education.Prerequisites
Completion of the YWAM-DTS (Discipleship Training School and Field Assignment -- IDS 701/702) or YWAM-CDTS (Crossroads Discipleship Training School -- IDS 703/704).Education
