This Korean-English Discipleship Training School is for people of various ages and cultures who want to experience God more intimately, develop more godly character and relationships, and see God made known and God's purposes fulfilled among the nations. This 21-week school begins with 12 weeks of classroom instruction followed by an 8-week field assignment in many nations. In the lecture phase, outstanding speakers will teach on various topics and students will have many kinds of opportunities to respond and interact with one another. Students will join other DTS groups for a few weeks for multicultural interaction and fellowship. All the students will be welcomed to share their cultures.

The field assignment

One of the most exciting parts of every YWAM-DTS is thefield assignment, which immediately follows the lecture phase in Kona. Students will travel to...

various mission fields in the nations to put what they have learned into practice, serving and ministering in various ways. The outreach locations will be determined through prayer by both staff and students during the lecture phase. We believe God has opened many doors of opportunity for us to minister in many nations. Different student groups will have different focus and emphasis of ministry from the Lord for their outreach, e.g. North Korean focus, middle east reconciliation focus, compassion for the poor and needy, targeting professionals of different spheres of society, heart for a special nation or people group etc.

Course dates and fees

This school will run for 24 weeks, starting on September 30, 2010, and ending in March 2011. Fees for the 12-week lecture phase of the school are approximately $4,300 (room, board and tuition). Meet the School Leaders

Moses and Young Eun Kim

Moses (SeungJoong) was born to Christian parents in Korea. He met Jesus so vividly at his age 14 and fell in love with God and His Word. He committed his whole life to God and His church and His Cause on earth. After studying law at a university, he worked for a company for over two years. Then he got theological training at a seminary in Seoul and joined YWAM Nairobi base, Kenya, East Africa with his newly married wife Young Eun Song, who had already worked for two years as staff there.

YoungEun met the Lord in her first year of university. Actually David Ross helped her to pray the prayer of accepting the Lord in her life. Since then she got further discipleship training from David's ministry called Jesus Evangelism Team (JET). After finishing her DTS that was the first DTS in Korea under the leadership of David and Ellen Ross, she joined YWAM Nairobi's pioneering work in 1983. YoungEun met Moses the first time in Korea when she came home for her furlough and they got married and then they joined YWAM Nairobi work as a new couple in 1985.

They worked there for around 10 years pioneering Project Boma for Maasai people. God blessed them with two sons there. Then they were led by the Lord to join U of N Kona since 1996 until now. They served Leadership Training schools in India, Switzerland and Kona. The is the 12th DTS they serve with great passion here on Kona campus. They also have a huge passion for various seminars targeting mind molders of the nations including Korea.
